A sincere appeal is made to all who have relatives or close ones buried in the cemetery to help contribute towards the upkeep and maintenance.

Ghusl Khana

The ghusl khana completed in the year 1992 is a blessing to the community of Tongaat especially for those people who live in small apartments in the various areas of our town. The preparation of the deceased body for burials is made very convenient as facilities are available. We appeal to our Muslim brothers and sisters to learn how to give ghusl so that one is prepared to assist when required. Do not let this be task be only of the ulema and a selective few.

Madrassah

From humble beginnings, madrassah classes used to be at two respective venues :
I. Fairbreeze
2. M L Sulthan building next to madrasah

Classes were conducted by various madrassah teachers who groomed the youth into understanding their responsibility as muslims.

However in the year 1984 madrassah education took a new dimension under the able leadership of Moulana Muhammad Yusuf Gaffar who had a class of 50 learners of various grades.

It is through his hard work and inspiration that today we have a madrasah which is an INSTITUTE OF HIGH ISLAMIC LEARNING. In 1992 Moulana Mohomed Faisel Khan was employed was employed as a principal of the madrasah and took the uneasy task of keeping the standard of madrasah education to the level brought by his predecessor.

Alhamdulilah our madrasah has grown and from then to now it boasts with qualified teachers. Lessons are conducted on allocated time slots per subject ie subject teaching with a vibrant learning atmosphere. The madrasah follows the syllabus and supervision of the SUNNI JAMIATUL ULAMA S.A.

The Tongaat Muslim Society remains indebted to the Sunni Jamiatul Ulama S.A. for their profound services rendered not only for the supervision of the madrasah, also by accepting our timeous invitations to deliver inspiring talks at our various auspicious programmes. Allah reward the ulema in this world and the hereafter.
